Ernest & his chair

Hemingway and his chair

My cat, Mr. Hemingway, just loves sitting on this chair I made while in design school. I always thought it might turn into something useful. He loves being up high to see into the kitchen.

This reminds me of my Dad. Even though we lived in the South and I never experienced snow with him, on his good days, this is what he was like. I love how Nip captures the emotion in his illustrations.

You can make it with our without meat.
Cheese sauce:
2 TBS of Butter
2 Cups of Shredded Cheese or Velveeta
1/3 cup Skim Milk.
Bring to a slow simmer until everything is melted. Add to cooked macaroni in a 9x13 baking dish. Add cooked meat. I used turkey sausage. Or add mushrooms. Mix gentely. Add 1 bag of shredded cheese to the top and back for 30 mins at 350. Add crushed Jalapeño flavored chips to the top and back for another 5 to 10 mins.
It was really easy and very good.
Enjoy!

Florida Sunset

It rained most of the day Friday 2.5.10. I went out once it let up and stopped to admire the clouds changing from gray thunder storm tones to shades of light neons and bright blue.

Lynn's Shoes From India!!

This is my friend Lynn... and yes. She is in the middle of the street, in India, on an elephant.

Lynn in India

She took the most beautiful photos during her trip and shared many on Facebook. It was such a huge contrast to our daily lives. The colors are vibrant. I wish we would adopt some of the color choices in our daily wears.

Lynn in India

Lynn brought back more than memories... these shoes are handmade and super comfortable. I only wish I had one of every color and some in the boot variety to wear in winter.

Ad for Electrolux Ultra Silencer Line.

How did I miss this. This type of ad is something I would like to do more of. Lovely. We are in a need of a new vacuum. The husband doesn't think so. I have to take a picture of the duct tape hose. It is horrible.

A few photos I love!

Here are photos of my Grandmother when she was young. You don't have photo processing like this anymore. The "strawberry" photo, I think is my favorite. Just had to share them... she is so pretty.
